Trent Briney - Co-owner / Manager
trail runner / marathoner / coach / encourager
Trent grew up locally on the Front Range. Trent attended Manitou Springs High School and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where he received his degree in Business Management. He was beyond thrilled to get the opportunityto be an NCAA Athlete while there and explored running after college as a passion of both learning and chasing goals.
After College, Trent ran for professional distance running teams Hansons-Brooks Distance Project in Michigan and with the McMillan Elite team in Flagstaff, Arizona. He was also a member of the AdiUltra and Nathan Trail team. Trent’s highlight came in 2004 when he raced the US Olympic Trials for the Marathon, running 2:12:34 and placing 4th. This performance earned him the Olympic Alternate spot for the 2004 Athens Games. This race also qualified him to represent the USA at the 2005 World Championships in Finland. Injured prior to the event he decided to give the spot to his teammate who was the alternate for the 2005 Worlds.
As a coach, Trent has worked with individual clients, coached camps at the US Air Force Academy and worked in group training while coaching various levels of athletes including beginners. Most recently, he has been coaching with the Revolution Running training club in Boulder, Colorado as well as coaching the Tuesday night beginner group run at Boulder Running Company in Boulder.
In the specialty running industry, Trent has totaled more than 10+ years of experience while working for Colorado Running Company, Boulder Running Company in Colorado, and Hansons Running Shops in Michigan. Please come say hi and start or continue your journey with Trent and the Team at RNK Running and Walking!

Cecilia Ticsay - Manager
I have been married for 25 years and we have 3 wonderful boys, well they are men now, a beautiful daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters that are the cutest ever. Besides running, nutrition is my 2nd passion. So, I became a Certified Holistic Health Coach..
Since 2007 I have completed over 19 full marathons and more half marathons, 10 & 5k’s than I can count. Some of my favorite marathons have been San Diego Marathon, Nike Women’s Marathon, CIM in Sacramento, and Denver Rock N Roll half marathon. I qualified for Boston and was honored to run it in both 2010 and 2011. I completed my first trail run this year in Cheyenne Mtn. and loved it! I have been a coach for Team in Training and USA Fit Temecula. I have also coached cross-country for a private school in California. I finally completed the Chicago Marathon, which was the marathon I was training for when I was diagnosed with cancer. I am a testament to the fact that after fighting cancer it is possible to do anything when you put your heart and mind into it. I love running and making new friends that enrich my life. I am excited to help you with your fitness journey and to walk along side you as you complete this goal.
